An opening exists in the Trade Division for the position of National Account Manager reporting to the Director, Trade Sales.
Work Location: This position is hybrid with the flexibility of working from home or in our beautiful downtown office. We encourage all our employees to come into the office at least once a week for collaborative meetings and team building.
Role Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional National Account Manager with a proven ability to formulate sound business plans, maximize opportunities, develop effective long-term business relationships, and exceed customer expectations. The account focus will be Amazon, Toys R Us and TJMaxx Canada. This is a 16-month maternity leave contract role.
Primary Responsibilities
- · Delivering product presentations, and marketing/coop plans to targeted accounts
- Presenting business reviews and provide market intelligence to your accounts that will educate, inform, and identify opportunities
- Building dynamic relationships with accounts at various levels: buying, marketing, finance
- Analyzing POS sell through data to maximize business opportunities while minimizing risk
- Developing inventory forecasts that best reflect market realities; update forecasts as required
- Timely and effective review of account performance to ensure goals are achieved and adjust business plans as necessary
- Building and maintaining relationships with all internal stakeholders to help facilitate the account management and ensure the customer’s needs are met
- Planning, managing and monitoring results of all co-op promotional programs
- Identifying and executing promotional and merchandising opportunities, analyzing results, and minimizing returns
Qualities We’re Looking For
- Customer driven approach
- Comfortable and excited about collaborating and working in a team environment
- Goal oriented to achieve targets though self-motivation, persistence, and determination
- Excellent prioritization and time management skills
- Problem analysis and problem resolution both at a strategic and functional level
- Ability to create business presentations, excel files and read POS sales reports
- Excellent organizational skills, detail oriented, able to manage multiple priorities with conflicting deadlines
- Strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial, inquisitive, and innovative spirit
Qualifications
- 3+ years’ National Sales and Account Management experience
- Publishing or Consumer Goods experience preferred
- Exceptional communication skills, comfortable communicating in various virtual platforms; Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Google Meet
- Proficiency with Power Point, Excel, Outlook, Asana
- Working knowledge of BNC Sales data and Catalist is an asset
- Valid driver’s license
