Session Description
Connect directly with publishing professionals in this interactive, small-group networking event designed for emerging writers at the Festival of Literary Diversity on Sunday, April 26 from 3:30-5:00pm.
The Writers’ Hub offers a unique opportunity to ask questions, gain insight, and build connections with industry professionals in an informal, welcoming setting. Taking place in the festival’s virtual roundtable space, this drop-in experience allows participants to move between virtual conversations hosted by publishers, agents, and other publishing professionals, each ready to share their expertise and answer your questions.
Whether you’re curious about submissions, acquisitions, career pathways, or how to navigate the publishing landscape, the Writers’ Hub is designed to make these conversations accessible. With smaller group sizes and a flexible format, you can engage in meaningful discussions and get the answers you need—without the pressure of a formal pitch session.
Drop in, explore, and take part in conversations that can help shape your writing journey.
How to Attend
To take part in the Writers’ Hub, you’ll need to purchase a Virtual Pass and log in to the festival platform on April 26. Beginning at 3:30 PM, head to the Roundtables section of the platform to browse available conversations and join any that interest you.
This event is designed as a flexible, drop-in experience, so you’re welcome to move between virtual chatroom meetups hosted by editors and other publishing professionals for the duration of the event. Stay for five minutes or longer or revisit a table more than once – it’s up to you. Turning on your camera can help create a more personal and meaningful connection, but it is not required to participate.
