Into the FOLD: A Books and Lit Fest Podcast

About the Podcast

Into the FOLD is a podcast hosted by authors and Jael Richardson and Hudson Lin in celebration of the Festival of Literary Diversity’s upcoming 10th anniversary April 27-May 4, 2025.
Jael (Black woman with long braids) is wearing black and holding a red book. Next to her is Lin (Asian woman with black hair), wearing orange and holding a grey book over the bottom half of her face. Against a purple background, text reads: Into the FOLD with Jael Richardson and Hudson Lin.

Drawing on Jael and Lin’s love of books and publishing expertise, Into the FOLD is a conversational dive deep into the history and current state of published storytelling in Canada. The podcast also features interviews with special guests from the FOLD community and the publishing industry.

The show’s title, Into the FOLD, was chosen to signify the podcast’s behind-the-scenes look at the organisation’s incredible legacy and to reflect the sense of belonging the FOLD fosters. Listeners will come away with insights into the Canadian publishing landscape and with trusted book recommendations in the lead up to the 10th anniversary festival April 2025.

Episode one of the podcast, featuring FOLD Kids Program Coordinator Ardo Omer, is available now. Future special guests include: Amanda Leduc, author, disability rights advocate, and former Communications Coordinator for the FOLD, and Samantha Clarke, the FOLD’s Volunteer and Audience Engagement Coordinator.

Into the FOLD is available now on YouTube, Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music, and other major streaming platforms. Monthly releases will continue through May.

Into the FOLD is supported by Sheridan College’s Honours Bachelor of Creative Writing and Publishing. Visit sheridancollege.ca for more info.
