Unsettling Poetry: Land-Based Strategies for Generating Poems with Liz Howard

Description

In this workshop we will consider work by poets who foreground a conscious attunement to land and place. Brief writing exercises will ask you to explore your mind as an embodied poetic voice rooted to its particular spatial place and identity. We will examine the possibility of the poem as a space for conversation between the desire for transcendence and the need for responsibility.
