The FOLD Foundation, a charitable organization based in Brampton, Ontario, is hiring for the full-time position of PROGRAM COORDINATOR.
Reporting to the Executive Director for the FOLD Foundation, the Program Coordinator will oversee the programming, planning and execution of all adult (16+) programming including the annual Festival of Literary Diversity and FOLD Academy as well as the promotion, development and curation of year-round adult programming.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Soliciting publicists for the curation and selection of authors for FOLD and any adult programming in consultation with the Executive Director and the FOLD team
- Leading and coordinating FOLD Planning and Advisory Team meetings and any special adult programming committees
- Managing outreach and relationship building with community organizations and educators regarding FOLD adult programming
- Creating online planning and scheduling systems for FOLD and FOLD Academy
- Updating financial and statistical reporting following FOLD and FOLD Academy
- Overseeing and/or executing FOLD social media accounts and FOLD newsletter
- Managing web content for FOLD and FOLD Academy
- Budget development and tracking for FOLD in consultation with Executive Director
- Creating, producing and overseeing virtual and in-person adult programming activities for FOLD and year-round
- Providing support to the Executive Director in administrative duties, as directed
- Writing a detailed festival post-mortem report in a timely fashion following the festival
- Ability to work remotely most of the year, with the ability and willingness to be in Brampton as needed on a weekly basis
- Ability to attend networking opportunities in Brampton as well as pre-festival and festival events throughout the GTA
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years experience working in education, publishing, or arts administration
- Demonstrated expertise in event management and event production
- Experience creating and managing a complex budget
- Interest and knowledge in Canadian Literature
- Mature personal judgment, exhibiting a high level of professionalism and diplomacy
- Ability to handle vulnerable populations with excellence and empathy
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Experience gathering stats and organizing reports for a not-for-profit organization
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a deadline-oriented, fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently and remotely
- Ability to regularly be in Brampton for meetings, events and other work-related responsibilities
- Ability to speak a second language is considered an asset
- Lived experience as a member of marginalized community is considered an asset (this includes BIPOC, Disabled, non-binary and Queer applicants as well as applicants from marginalized faith-based communities)
SALARY
- $50,000/year
