Contest Rules

1. Sponsor

This challenge is sponsored by The FOLD Foundation (“Sponsor”).

2. Eligibility

This challenge is open to residents of Canada, who are 18 years of age or older at the time of entry.

Due to provincial regulations, residents of Quebec are not eligible to participate at this time. We appreciate your understanding.

Employees, contractors, board members, and immediate family members of the Sponsor are not eligible to enter.

This challenge is void where prohibited by law.

3. Challenge Period

The challenge begins on the date the post is published on Instagram and closes on January 23, 2026, at 11:59 PM ET (“Challenge Period”). Entries received after this time will not be eligible.

4. How to Enter

To participate, entrants must complete all of the following during the Challenge Period:

1. Like the official challenge post on Instagram

2. Follow @the_fold on Instagram

3. Comment on the post by:

   • Sharing your reading goal for 2026, and

   • Tagging at least one fellow booklover

💛 Sharing or reposting the post is optional and not required to enter or to improve chances of selection.

Limit one (1) entry per person. Automated, bulk, or duplicate entries may be disqualified.

5. Reward

One (1) participant will be selected to receive:

• $110 CAD credit toward FOLD Apparel, and

• Free shipping on the credited order.

The reward has no cash value and is non-transferable. Any purchases exceeding the $110 credit are the responsibility of the selected participant.

Please note: Any applicable duties, tariffs, customs fees, or taxes associated with the order are the responsibility of the participant. The Sponsor is not responsible for these additional charges.

6. Selection & Notification

One (1) participant will be selected at random from all eligible entries following the close of the Challenge Period.

The selected participant will be contacted via direct message from @the_fold only on Instagram. They must respond within the timeframe provided to confirm eligibility.

⚠️ The Sponsor will never request payment, banking details, or credit card information. If the selected participant does not respond or cannot be verified, another participant may be selected.

7. Odds

The chances of being selected depend on the total number of eligible entries received.

8. Privacy

By participating, entrants consent to the use of their Instagram handle solely for the purpose of administering this challenge and contacting the selected participant. No additional personal information will be collected.

9. Platform Disclaimer

This challenge is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram or Meta.

10. General Conditions

The Sponsor reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel this challenge if circumstances arise that affect its fairness or integrity. By participating, entrants agree to be bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which are final.
