WRITE NOW is a bi-monthly, two-hour writing workshop delivered by a Canadian writing professional in Brampton, Ontario. The workshop includes a writing lesson, a period of quiet writing and a debrief discussion. The 45-minute lessons are streamed live and are available online for those unable to attend in-person. The live lessons and recorded lesson are interpreted in ASL. Past presenters include authors Ian Williams and Farzana Doctor and Bhavna Chauhan, editor at Penguin Randomhouse.
Write Now is free of charge. All of the buildings for Write Now workshops have accessible entryways, accessible parking, and accessible washrooms. Details regarding parking and venue-specific accessibility will be shared before each of the events.
People wishing to attend in-person will be able to register two weeks before the live event. Participants are encouraged to bring their notebooks, computers, and/or manuscripts to the live events.
