The FOLD Kids Challenge
Book recommendations that encourages kids and teens who love reading to thoughtfully consider their reading lists and ask one important question: Who’s missing?
What are you reading? Who’s missing? The FOLD Kids Reading Challenge is a “kid/teen-friendly” version of the main FOLD challenge that encourages younger book lovers to diversify their reading by asking one important question: Who’s missing?
Each year, FOLD Kids releases a twelve-challenge list in January, focusing on one challenge per month for the duration of the year. Every month, a blog post compiled by one of our FOLD Planning Advisory Team members will include a list of recommended titles. The recommendations will provide three suggestions: a picture book, a middle grade or chapter book, and a Young Adult title, that corresponds to the challenge being explored.
For readers who may not read as many titles throughout the year, pick a few challenges that will enrich your reading list and your life.
As we say at the FOLD, diversity always takes more work…but it always reaps better results. So grab a book whether it’s in print, digital or in audio, and get reading. Be sure to check back here for more!
