Join us for an unforgettable literary experience featuring author readings, panel discussions, workshops, and specialty events.

Festival Dates

The Festival of Literary Diversity will run from April 25 to May 2, 2027.

Events from April 25 – 28 will take place in our virtual platform. Events from April 29 – May 2 will he held in downtown Brampton, Ontario, Canada.

Attending Virtually

Our virtual festival events are hosted on a unique platform that includes access to live events, on-demand sessions, as well as networking and community-building opportunities. Maximize your experience by getting involved.

  1. Download the Festival App

    Download the official vFairs festival app to experience the festival on-the-go. Add events to your personalized schedule to get reminders, watch events on your phone, and interact with other attendees using the chat function.

  2. Join the After-Parties

    After select virtual events, attendees are invited to join the after-party to continue the conversation with authors and panelists. After-parties are held in the Roundtable section of the platform.

  3. Visit the Exhibit Hall

    Explore the virtual Exhibit Hall where attendees can learn more about the publishers and writing organizations that partner with FOLD.

  4. Compete for Prizes

    Explore the online platform and earn points for every virtual event you attend. Attendees at the top of the leaderboard win exclusive prizes. Prizes can also be won through daily trivias!

  5. Participate in the Festival Reading Challenge

    Read festival titles for the chance to win bookish prizes.

School Groups at the Festival

The Festival of Literary Diversity offers special programming for high school students on the first day of in-person programming. Programming and ticket sales will be made available in February.

How to Book Your Class

  • School Group bookings are managed by the Rose Theatre.

In-Person Venues & Directions

In-person events take place over four days across numerous downtown Brampton venues, all within 200 meters of the Rose Theatre and free underground parking.

The Rose Theatre

The Rose is a remarkable venue designed with a main theatre and secondary space the majority of in-person festival events take place.

Free underground parking with accessible parking spaces is at the theatre. Accessible parking spots are less than 20 meters from the elevator which lead directly to the venue lobby.

Note

A prayer space is located on the upper level of the venue and will be available to guests from Friday to Sunday during event times. Weather permitting, an outdoor lounge space is also available on the patio for relaxing between events.

Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives

PAMA is a museum, art gallery, and archives that hosts unique specialty events that combine literary appreciation with art, food, and culture.

Parking on-site is reserved for those in need. Please contact us if you require on-site parking.

Limited street parking on Wellington Street East is available 40-80 metres from the front door. The John Street underground parking garage is located one block away, about 100 metres from the front entrance. The venue is about 200 metres from the underground parking at the Rose Theatre.

Specialty Events

Algoma University

Reading Party with Reading Rhythms will be held at Algoma University’s Lower Level Lounge. The space will hold approximately 50 people in a spacious and well-ventilated activity room. Algoma University is fully wheelchair accessible.

Historic Banquet Hall

Alderlea House
