Important Information
We are open to pitches of new and recent titles from both traditionally published and established self-published authors.
Due to the overwhelming volume of pitches we receive, submissions will only receive a response if there is interest in featuring you and your book at an upcoming festival.
Pitches submitted directly to staff via email or to our general info email address will not be considered.
Timeline & Process
Submissions are reviewed 5 months before each festival
Programming is finalized 3-4 months before each festival
If you don't receive a response by February (adult and young adult titles) or September (children's titles), your submission was not selected for the festival.
Submission Deadlines
- Children’s titles for FOLD Kids Book Fest – July 31
- Adult and young adult titles for the Festival of Literary Diversity – November 30
Pitch to FOLD
We welcome submissions from authors and from publishers who would like to share titles for consideration for our festival programming. To ensure every submission is reviewed fairly, all pitches must be submitted through this form.
