Volunteer with FOLD

Help bring important conversations and literary experiences to life.

Be a Part of Our Story

Volunteers are an essential part of the FOLD community and help make our events and programs possible. It’s a great way to connect with fellow book lovers, gain valuable experience, and be part of a team dedicated to celebrating diverse stories and supporting incredible authors and illustrators.

From welcoming guests and supporting authors to assisting backstage, creating social media content, and helping events run smoothly, volunteers play a key role at both the Festival of Literary Diversity and FOLD Kids Book Fest.

"I feel very proud to be a long-time volunteer of the FOLD. Being involved in this organization has really shaped me as a reader but has also really pushed me to be an advocate for diverse voices in my work as a sales manager - not only in the books we publish but with my colleagues too."
