FOLD Kids Book Fest takes place November 5-9. In addition to fun in-person events on November 7 and 8, the FOLD is pleased to host its second annual Community Day at Gore Meadows Community Centre and Library.

Community Day includes a range of events including writing and art workshops, storytimes and special presentations that allow attendees to interact with incredible authors and storytellers in the Brampton Library and throughout the Community Centre. Explore our activity zone and our book fair, where books by all of our festival authors will be available for sale.

Registration for select in-person events open October 25th.

Special Events

The 2024 FOLD Kids Book Fest includes our second annual opening parade, a drop-in art event with Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives (PAMA), a library escape room, and an incredible space-themed presentation presented by the Ontario Science Centre.

Join us at 10am for the parade and stay for a range of activities designed for kids 0-14.

Storytimes

Designed for readers 4-10, our unique storytimes are presented by the authors of incredible new Canadian picture books. Each session includes a storytime, an activity, and opportunity to have your book signed by the author.

Enjoy readings from Sarabeth Holden, Sahar Golshan, Mahak Jain, and Rukhsana Khan in our amazing campfire-themed reading area in the Brampton Library’s Gore Meadows branch.

Writing and Art Workshops

Designed for writers and illustrators, our FOLD Kids Book Fest workshops allow young people to sit in small group workshops with presenters who provide insight into the process of creating a story and art. Space is limited and registration is required. Walk-ins will be admitted if space is available.
