This year, FOLD Kids Book Fest is presenting an interactive spoken word performance for middle school students at Chinguacousy Secondary School (1370 Williams Pkwy E, Brampton, ON L6S 1V3) on Friday, November 7 at 9:45am ET.
THE POETRY SLAM! – As part of FOLD Kids Book Fest, join us at Chinguacousy Secondary School for a high-energy event where students in Grades 6–8 will experience the thrill of spoken word poetry. Three dynamic poets—Amal Abdullahi, Ugoma Brainer Nwabeke and Jules Roslyn—will take the stage to compete in an interactive Poetry SLAM, hosted by award-winning poet Patrick de Belen.

Tickets are $8/student. Educators attending with students are free of charge. Educators can register students starting September 25, via a registration form.
Homeschool families and other student groups can email outreach@thefoldcanada.org to arrange attendance.
For schools attending by school bus. Please instruct buses to drop off students in front of Chinguacousy Secondary School for 9:30am with pick up at 11:00am. The event will start promptly at 9:45 and will wrap up no later than 11:00am.
