Workshop Description

Funny Because It’s True

“Humour is…urgent work,” writes William Zinsser in On Writing Well: The Classic Guide to Writing Nonfiction, calling it “the secret weapon of the nonfiction writer.” In this workshop, participants explore the craft of comedic storytelling, experiment with techniques that transform real experiences into compelling sentences and learn to sharpen their unique comic voice to captivate readers through the funny, frustrating, and memorable moments of life.
