Writers at the Rose

Writers at the Rose is the newest addition to the FOLD lineup of events in 2018. The reading series will be hosted in Brampton’s prestigious Rose Theatre in partnership with The Rose Theatre and the Brampton Library. This Major Author Reading Series will showcase important writers and stories in conversation with high-profile moderators and interviewers. Audience members will hear a live presentation of the writer’s work (via performance or a live reading) and will be able to ask questions as part of an audience Q & A. Copies of the writers work will be available for sale via the Festival of Literary Diversity.

Writers at the Rose will provide a west-end venue in the Greater Toronto Area for significant international voices to interact with readers and writers in an intimate setting in the heart of downtown Brampton.

The first Writers at the Rose event will be held on Thursday, February 8 and will feature author and Artistic Director Jael Richardson in conversation with Karl Subban, who wrote about raising three NHL boys, including Nashville Predators defencemen PK Subban in his memoir How We Did It. For locations and ticket information, visit our Upcoming Events page.
