Book Ride

The Reading Line selects books by a range of authors to promote literacy in the city, for adults and kids. Book rides raise awareness about cycling infrastructure and encourage the development of connected, safe routes.

In April 2018, the Reading Line – in partnership with the FOLD and the Brampton Library – is holding the first Brampton Book Ride.

The route will begin at South Fletcher’s Library and continue to downtown Brampton thanks to support from the Region of Peel. Along the way, local writers and authors who have appeared at the Festival of Literary Diversity will read from their books or perform poetry.

The Brampton Book Ride authors are:

Gary Barwin

Amanda Leduc

Carrianne Leung

Ken Puddicombe

Pratap Reddy

and local poet Lamoi

The Book Ride is free, but space is limited. REGISTER HERE for the Brampton Book Ride.
